What does phuh, (pbuh) mean?

I've seen it several times, used after Jesus', God's name, Mary's name, and such.

    It means peace be upon him/her. It's a Muslim phrase.

    It is simply a phrase specifically used out of respect of (or in praise) for a Prophet (Messenger of God) of God, meaning 'peace be upon him'. It is almost like a prayer, seeking God's blessing on the soul of the said Prophet.
