DSL 1.5Mbps vs. 7Mbps?
I'm trying to decide if 1.5Mbps is fast enough to avoid an extra $10/month for something I don't end up using or need (7Mbps). Does anyone have 1.5 mbps speed internet and do you get along with it ok? The minimum speed for VOD (video on demand) is 750kbps - does anyone use 1.5 for VOD? I don't use the internet all that much at home and will only use VOD occasionally. Who would rather slit their wrists than have 1.5mbps?

1.5mbps is a bit slow if you want to watch video streams (youtube, etc.). It's slow for gaming, but adequate for some games. We all lived with a lot less for a lot of years, but more services are taking advantage of wider bandwidth so, in the future 1.5mbps will seem about as fast as dial-up does today.

I personally would rather have 7mbps because I'm on the computer all the time. 7mbps will be way better for streaming media.
