it seems to me that the moral of the story is:

it's best to avoid doing drugs while choosing the name of your children!

  • Well, what celebrities- and the norms of the sad little world- are naming their poor, poor children now are lame, sad, and ridiculous, and sometimes a little laugh-out-loud worthy.

Zuma, Espn, Tallulah does the Hula anyone?

(Yep. They are all real names of kids. How. . .unfortunate.)

Just picture these poor folks when they are sucked into the boring, drag of a work world and go to a job interview with a name like a SPORTS CHANNEL. How terrible. Will anyone take them seriously? Probably not. It's just like naming your kid "(blank) of the Funk"! (tee-hee, anyone get the Naruto reference?)

All we can really do about it is struggle with the topic on Yahoo! Answers and OMG! mesage boards. Oh well.

I wish parents would take their children's future into consideration. However, when you are a star or celebrity, your child has a pretty good chance to live out their name ... ie. Moon Unit, Dweezil, etc.

But I do think everyday Joes and Jills should try to be a little more compassionate when thinking of saddling names on children!

My dad's name was Orestor ... to this day, we can figure out what nationality it is. We know Grandma Ingebor saw it on a gravestone when she was pregnant and we're Norwegian descent, but my relatives in Norway had never heard of it! His middle name was James, so he went by O.J. He died in 1979 when that was still a good moniker! ha ha ha

well it is a free country, so I guess they can name them what ever they want, I don't agree with it, some of the names a kinda neat like Ocean, and Willow, Brooklyn, these are ok i guess, Demi More named her kids Scout and Rumor, Rumor isn't so bad but Scout is something I would name a dog, I would think they would be made fun of in school, but I guess their parents have enough money to pay for the therapy they are gonna need

I think parents have the right to name their child anything they want, but some names are just cruel. My mom is a teacher, and she comes home at night and tells us some of the weirdest names. Some are even named after cars. Sometimes I wonder if people are drunk when they name their kids, I mean, it's not like the kid can name itself! So, I think they can, but they shouldn't be mean about it.

I know a guy with the last name Time...His parents called him Justin.

People can be a little weird with names. Yes, they have a right to do so. Some would say that it helps their young one build character.

It's thier right to name thier child whatever they want. Yeah the kid may hate it, but there is something special about thier name and with how times are changing, anything goes as a name. and if someone hates thier name that much, they can get it legally changed.

Some of these names you posted are perfectly normal, however rare - Luna, Rufus, Shiloh, Brooklyn, Willow... I've known other people by these names. I think they're pretty names actually.

Yes. Even though most of the names listed are off the wall, who is really to judge what is a good name and what isn't?

Pilot Inspektor is the worst name... oh and Sage Moonblood...

I really dont mind Apple, Brooklyn, and Suri...

I think Suri is a really cute name.
