Why are soooo many transsexual females turning into lesbians?

A lot of folks said it nicely above, but i'll give you the brief answer :-)

1. Transsexual women are women.

2. Many women are lesbians.

3. So unsurprisingly, many transsexual women are lesbians.

It has always been this way. The last decade has shown a huge increase in the visibility of both lesbians and transsexuals, and thus you are now able to see more transsexual lesbians.

A transsexual goes through the emotional and physical pain and the expense of transition so that they are perceived as the gender that they really are. You do not have a clue of how difficult it is to go through life being perceived as the gender that you are not.

If your rationale were valid then gays/lesbians would not exist.

Gender identity and sexuality are very different and separate issues.

Lemme guess..you're either under the age of 13 or just have REALLY bad judgement... She's an attention-starved WHORE, w/ absolutely no talent who thinks the entire world revolves around her ugly little troll head. She's a wannabe diva who's just riding the coattails of her father's career. And just watch, in about 5 years, no one's gonna care who she is anymore cuz she'll be too old for Disney Channel & too ugly for the porn industry. So don't fall for her little act. She teases us w/ her claim to want to "stay a virgin until marriage", but who the hell dates a 20 year old underwear model w/ that kind of mindset? And just FYI; neither her hair nor her voice is completely real. They ALWAYS tweak her voice on the sound board a lot & she has unrealistic extensions. And how even says "swimmingly"?! Get over yourself. And you can report me all you want; it's still true & I'm still right :p

Being trans isn't a sexual orientation, and it's got nothing to be with being gay or straight. It's about who you are and making the outside match the inside.

Sexual orientation, not even in the same world as gender identity. I get that's probably tough for someone who's cisgendered (someone who isn't trans) to understand.

Being homosexual doesn't mean you HATE the opposite sex anyways, way to make a leap there.

If you can't make sense of that, then maybe you should just accept that it's the way it is.

Transexuals are people who feel like they are someone trapped in the body of the wrong gender. Beside that, their sexual preferences are driven by the same principles as everyone else.

Try to not see them as MTF or FTM, ignore their "original" and "new" gender. Just think of them as individuals who have their own sexual preference. Some guys like women, some guys like guys, some guys like both, same for women. So it's the same for transexuals.

Gender identity is separate from sexual orientation for all people, not just those born in the gender they identify in. Identity is how you relate to your own body, sexual orientation is how you are attracted to others.

well she feels like she is in the wrong body. her mind is a female but her body is a male body. therefore they go through all the surgery to feel "right." but now even though she is now a female in side and out she still likes girls. she can't help this its just the way she is.

Because gender identity and gender preference are NOT the same thing. Preference is who you want to go to bed WITH, identity is who you want to go to bed AS.

I'm bi, but my friend is a trans-lesbian. She just never had any attraction to men. Like...like...LESBIANS!!!
