any elk cartridges in lever action?

The Browning BLR is available several good elk calibers. And its a good rifle also.

make mine a Browning BLR They are available in several Elk calibers, like 270, 30/06, The browning is a cam lever action and is almost as strong as a bolt. If you want to go to 300 yards, this is the best combo. The big Marlins like 45/70, 450 Marlin, 444 would be good to about 175.

Some companies used to make a lever action 270, I cant remember who it was though. I would check out Marlin, they have a wide variety of lever action cartridges, and then check out the Hornady lever action ammo out there. Its hotter and made so that you can shoot more powerful ammo in a tubemagazine. If im not mistaken Browning made a lever action in 308. I wouldnt hold me to that though.

get a marlin. they have a 30-30 and a 308 and bigger. However, if you want it to go out to 300 yards you will need the LEVERevolution rounds from Hornady. Normal lever actions have snub nose rounds to they will go in a tube mag with out any risk of them going off, but the leaverevolution rounds have ballistic tips so it adds a lot of accuracy and distance to the rounds.

The Browning lever action comes in 30/06 and .270 among others. Its a great rifle.

Correct me if Im wrong but I believe Browning's BLR was chambered in .300 win mag and .338 win mag. Both would be a great sleeping pill for elk.

they used to make a .44 and/or a .45 caliber in lever action. I use a pump action .270 or 30.06
