I was charged for 45.77 at wienerschnitzel when my total was really 4.57! ?
the guy at the window said that the charge would not go through because it was voided. It took a few days on my bank statement to show up but it is there.....the charge for 45.77 did go through. I have not gone by there and told them that the charge did go through I plan to do that first thing in the morning. is there anything they will be able to do? I just cant see how it can be fixed? anyone have any similar problems?

Thats easy.
Call your credit card company and do a charge back.
Businesses are required to keep credit card receipts to prove innocence. You are not.
If you want to be nice you could call the restaurant first and ask if they will just credit you. This is much less hassle of the business than a charge back.
Either way you will not have to pay this. Do not worry.

I do not know what this company is - ?fast food?- but any decent manager would just give you the cash and apologise. Don't go there in a rage, just be polite and show him the paperwork and if possible the name of the clerk who said it would be ok. If the clerk said it did not go through, he probably also put through a charge for $4.57, correct? Good luck.

It happens all the time bring it to the attention of the manager and it would help to have the employee there to agree with your story then he can credit your account or maybe even give you a cash refund,
It will be a good idea to have the reciept from that day and your credit card paper work,

I don't know if you're in another country? Has the transaction actually posted to your account or is it waiting? In the US, you should go back the merchant to make it correct. Speak with the manager.. it might be a case of employee dishonesty or error (as it appears it might be).
