I have a big house and lived alone when a friend asked If I would consider renting a couple rooms to a woman and 3 kids, after some thinking and finding out they were sleeping on the street, I agreed, before I could get a rental agreement made up they were there, she agreed to pay me $600.00 a month , on a month to month basis, night they moved in she was short with the rent, second month she was short with the rent, this month no rent money yet and it's almost over what do I have to do to get them out legally, and It is a very hard decision to evict with kids involved but they are out of control, don't feel mothers a good mother, but with the kids damage to my place and her attitude, and yelling and screaming at kids I don't need this.

I was given a check to cash so I called the bank on top of the check and asked there check cashing policy, and that there was an account and there were funds in it, was told they needed to see check to verify signature and that check would not fund for 7 days, so after showing them the check in walk the police, ask me some questions and arrest me, now I knew I wouldnt be walking out with any funds so why arrest me, I have never been involved in anything before with no record, ended up costing me 2,500.00 with bail and lost day's work, can I take them to Small Claims Court for 2,500.00 or more.
