Should we as Christians be going to other sites proclaiming the Gospel of Christ ?
Did He not tell us to go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel ?
Mignon M: Why do you accuse other of judging while you yourself do the same? All i have done here is ask a question. Your answer does provide us with this thought. The Gospel does, and it will be preached.
louie666... : Thanks for the input; But my Lord has already told me this would happen. You know everything He says is TRUTH.
"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake" (Matthew 24:9).
"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Mark 13:13).
"But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake" (Luke 21:12).
"But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me" (John 15:21).
TO THOSE WHO OPPOSE CHRISTIANITY:
Why are you telling me how wrong this would be while your here on the RS site "bashing" Christians? Isn't this a bit hypocritcal of you all?
RescuedB... Thank You for sharring your thoughts. I have a couple of questions to ask you.
1. Did the "sower" only sow the "seed" on the "good ground" ?
2. Did Jesus and His Apostles only preach to those who wanted to hear the Word?

When Atheists are asked why they come to the R.&.S. site they always answer with It's an open to everybody.

Funny you should ask this, because YES we should! Infact a few years back that is what I did everyday- I would pick a website, mostly ones that were worldly forums and log in, post the gospel, then leave. The reason I left is because they would ban me immediately-- as most websites do. One website I actually joined and spoke of the gospel and other biblical things they eventually banned me as well- that was a fitness forum. I got into many discussions on there too- until finally I was not able to log in anymore. But I should be doing this again, as there are MANY other websites out there- the reason I come here more than anywhere else however is because I cannot be banned....and many on here though it says relegion, does not mean they know Jesus.
But the word of God needs to be heard everywhere! Even if people hate to hear it, it has the power to save!

I can think of far better ways than using yahoo answers to proclaim the word of God. Here, it is not a proclamation of God's glory but a very human argument over who is right. And frankly, it is a waste of time in most cases. I am interested in providing answers to those that are seriously asking questions about our faith or beliefs but no longer make an attempt to answer those questions specifically asked to cause argument or bad feelings about anyone regardless of their faith.
If you have the physical ability to get out amongst people and show by example what it means to be a child of God, then THAT is your best arena in which to proclaim the Gospel of Christ. As much as I would like to believe differently, words typed on a computer have little effect on how people view God. But for now, doing this is about the best I can do.

This is a small world but we Christians have a duty to speak the Gospel for the Lord to all the world.
I also believe we have an obligation to behave like Christ and do it quietly. Those that have ears to hear, will hear. Those that do not, I will see across the great gulf.
Psalm 91:7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
91:8 Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.
91:9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation;
The Lord COMMANDS us Christians that we not make a spectacle of ourselves in public while we pray or teach. This is not an admonishment, it's a commandment. This is also the commandment right before the prayer that the Lord gives as a sample prayer. Phony churches today conveniently ignore the Lord's commandment forbidding using repetitious prayer and praying (and speaking) just to be seen. Churches today take the Lord's teaching and make a "Lord's jingle" out of it, exactly what Jesus commands that we shall not do.
Matt 6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say to you, They have their reward.
6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly.
6:7 And when you pray, YOU SHALL NOT USE VAIN REPETITIONS, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
6:8 Therefore be NOT LIKE THEM: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
6:9 Therefore pray AFTER THIS MANNER: Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name.
6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Source(s): Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. Rom 10:13 For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they did not believe? and how shall they believe on him of whom they did not hear? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring the gospel of good things! 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who has believed our report? 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

Don,
This is a very thought provoking question. My heart is with yours, however I believe there's a right way and a wrong way of doing things.
It is my belief that we should first befriend people and gain their confidence if we are to be fruitful for the Lord. The Lord is faithful to open doors of opportunity to witness and we need to be alert to them.
But to purposely go where we are not necessarily wanted and leave the gospel message will only bring out more animosity in the ones we are trying to reach. We need to be like the smart farmer with an obstinate mule ... dangle a carrot in front of it to motivate it. We need to tweek their interest first.
I know the Bible commands us to reach out to the lost and perishing but I think we need to use good sense along with sensitivity and diplomacy to accomplish that goal. You can draw a lot more flies with honey than you can vinegar.

Yes, we are to go everywhere. One poster said that we will be mocked. Yes that is true.
2 Peter 3:3-4
3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Yes, if you think that's the right thing to do then do it. You can make or even convince other people about that religoius matter. The Internet is one huge community so its a very good place to spread the Word. As a Christian, you are obliged to proclaim the Gospel. I would be happy to support your crusade.

I think there 's a reasonable limit to anything. Preaching violates the rules here, so you are likely to be suspended if you preach in any category here.

I think we should proclaim in a way the Lord meant for us. How He would like one person to proclaim may be different than what He has planned for another person.

Do you like it when Jehovah's Witnesses knock on your door and want to spread their version of the gospel to you?
It would have the exact same result, although slightly less intrusive.
