Can someone answer a question about the moive "No Country for Old Men" for me, I'm not sure about something?

During the scene where the killer guy is patching his leg up, towards the end of the scene he injects his good leg with something and then it shows something on the floor that looked like a dog fetus or something... what the heck was on the floor?

I think it was scraps of the cloth from his trousers. He had to cut his pants away because of the swelling, so his black clothes, all cut and twisted up, may have looked like that.

Rickie, that ending is typical for the Coen Bros. Their movies just seem to taper off and end.

I think the point of the ending was to show that the killer just didn't get lucky in the movie. That even when something bad really happens to him he can still overcome it because he is such a deadly freak.

I remember watching this movie and liking it until the end. What kind of ending was that. Like they ran out of things to write so they just ended. Not sure about the scene you're refering to, I'd need to watch it again.
