Community college grades in CSU/UC gpa?
I'm a high school senior nearing time to apply to college. Now, when I apply and attach the transcripts from the community colleges I've attended, will the grades from those courses be calculated into my GPA at whatever CSU/UC I end up attending? Thanks!

probably not. Im at UCSD and all the work that i have done anywhere outside of UC's gets counted for units but not for your GPA
Im not sure about CSU's but UC's have what they call a UC GPA which only calculates for classes taken within the UC system

Much more needs to be understood about your academic progress to date and your goals before answering the question. Each community college has a transfer center on campus. The center's role is to talk to you about your goals and help you develop an course plan while at the community college. Your next step should be to visit your transfer center, attend a transfer workshop offered by the center, and schedule an appointment to sit down with an academic counselor. Bob
