Transferring movies from CD to DVD?

SO I have a video camera and loads of video that needs to be put onto a DVD. The problem is, I do not have a DVD burner in my computer.

I can transfer the videos to windows media player, and these burn onto a CD.

My question.....

Can I take the CD that I burn to a computer that DOES have a DVD burner, save them onto the computer then put them onto a DVD disc?

Can I then watch these in a normal DVD player?

THanks for your answers!!

Yes. But.... Windows Media Player doesn't burn video. You'll need another program for that.

What's Erin flappin' about there's no such thing as a dvd/cd.

Yes, you can do that... of course, the computer with the DVD burner will need some time of program to burn the DVD. I suggest Nero. It is capable of Cd and DVD functions.... and yes, it makes normal DVDs to watch in your DVD player.

  • Yes but because of that the cd s have less room ur films quality will decrease and if u want not to lose quality u should cut ur movie to separate parts then burn it to cd I recommend not to do this and connect ur camera to that computer has dvd ram

A lot of major chain stores offer home movie (or in your case- CD) to DVD services at the photo department. The only one that I'm 100% certain does this is Walgreen's. If you don't have one of those nearby, I would call around to any stores near you that have a photo department. Somebody in your area has to offer this.

you can transfer the files on a Cd, yes.

but to view the DVDs in a dvd player, then you need a DVD Creator software.
