How can you tell that Palin scares the hell out of liberals?
It's simple really. Look at the huge response that her pick is generating. It fun to watch the liberals panic. It really is a brilliant pick. It secures the religious right vote, the same vote that got Bush elected in the last close election. Palin also appeals to a lot of undecided woman voters. She is a strong, Charismatic woman and will pull strong with the woman. She is a reformer and the opposite of Biden. (40 years in D.C. politics doesn't make you a proponent of change) In short, Palin has a tremendous amount of cross sectional appeal. The Liberals are scared to death. Ain't it great?

Interesting editorial I saw:
The moment the McCain camp confirmed it had chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as its choice for VP, conservatives, females and many mothers across the country rejoiced. She brought so many positives that I couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take the left to dig for the negatives.
Shortly after the announcement a friend asked me “when do you think the weird, rural farmer’s daughter rumors will start?
Apparently, not long after.
The Daily Kos (or as I like to call it, The Daily Gross) has stooped to a new low by repackaging a plot line from last season’s “Desperate Housewives” and publishing it as a disgusting hit piece alleging Palin’s special needs son is really her grandson. — And that she pretended to be with child to cover up her teen daughter’s underage pregnancy. Now, we’ve just learned Palin’s teen daughter Bristol is pregnant, debunking this awful rumor, yet still igniting the attacks of angry liberal bloggers.
This could only mean there must be something about Sarah Palin that is deeply threatening to the left, a constituency that has long believed they have cornered the working mother market. Five kids? She should be at home begging Democrats for a handout. A husband in a union? He should be on the picket lines.
Liberals like to pretend they are tolerant and accepting of those who are different but when it comes to anyone not ensconced in their progressive, elitist dogma they mock and attack their lifestyle to inspire hate. But because governor Palin is endearing, authentic–and with this latest revelation–easy to identify with, she invokes panic in the left. Why else would they assail a very popular, promising lady and her children?
The key question here is: what is the extreme left trying to prove? How does this make Sarah Palin unfit to serve? And how exactly will this story look bad to voters? A mother stands behind her child. I can think of worse stories than “Palins Come Together to Support Teen Daughter.” This is America. This is life. And this is private.
Ridiculing McCain’s VP pick for her commitment to family, poking fun at her hobbies and pushing smear about her kids will only bite back. Remember there’s a reason the naked protesters who ran up and down Eighth Avenue in New York City during the 2004 convention helped Republicans: they made liberals look cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
Perpetuating laughable legend and assailing the American family is akin to the in the buff boycotting. –It makes the lefties look desperate, unstable, paranoid and downright mean. And it will hurt the Democratic brand if it continues.
The back story here has nothing to do with Palin and her family but more to do with the extreme left. All Americans should take note: if liberals aren’t going to show Governor Palin or her family any respect, voters shouldn’t expect their policies to either.

No. I can't believe you spent so much time typing this stuff when you know Palin could never win a General Election in this country. The GOP is doing everything privately to keep her from even the nomination because they know she could never win a General Election.

Yes, it is great, except for the Palin Children, but I believe their mother had prepared them. They, (liberals), are shaking in their shoes, now that we have a charismatic person in the running. They can't find enough trash on her, so they are attacking her husband and children. And, you know what kind of response that brings out in a mother. Liberals beware! Remember the wrath of a scorned woman! Especially the Barracuda!

God you are factually wrong on SO many levels
Yeppers she get the Fundies they're the ones who vetted her for McCain (whoops they screwed that up) that will DRIVE many voters away since they feel the country has been held hostage by this fringe for 8 years
Nest you say " Palin also appeals to a lot of undecided woman voters."
And I say you're high she is the Anti woman in so many ways, her beliefs only appeal again to the Fundie woman, mainstream woman are going to find her views on equal pay and abortion absurd
Strike 2
She's NOT A REFORMER
she has some ethics issues all her own
She said she was for the Bridge to nowhere after she said she was against it and worked with a 527C on Behalf of Senator Stevens
She has zero cross sectional appeal Fundies and far right wingers are her sole supporters
You don't understand liberals concerns at ALL
see we really do love the good old US of A despite what Rush, and Sean say and we realize this is a tight election we're scared for our NATION if this wack job gwets anywhere near a seat of power plain and simple

For the record............I am Non-partisan, never have belonged to one party or another and have voted for rep, dems, and Independants.
However if I am scared of Sarah Palin, I think I have a good reason to be......as a CITIZEN and not some party backer.
We have had 8 years of hell.....with the George W.orst Bush in charge.....we have skyrocketing gas and insurance prices, a very dumb war, where we never finished the job and really went after the bad guys who started the whole mess with 9/11.
Now we get an old man, who wants to do the same exact dumb, damn thing, and a lady as his VP who just may lead the country if he croaks or gets to sick to stay in office. Nothing wrong with being a lady, but a lady who hasn't stepped into Washington in her life, and who her and her husband were part of a moment to try to make Alaska independent from the U.S. Wow, what a patriot we got here folks! Not to mention all the other baggage she carrys. So, yes, I have plenty to be afraid of, and so should you, but your just happy because your party might just win.....wow, how narror minded can you get??
So my friend, if you get your wish, you might have voted for your own death warrant........good luck!
In parting, for the folks that are reading this.......vote with your head, think a little and make the right choice for yourself, and not some dumb party and their particular beliefs.

No, I don't think that 'liberals' are at all scared of Sarah Palin. Since her selection by McCain, Obama's lead in both the Gallup and Rasmussen daily tracking polls has increased each day and today he stands with his highest rating he has ever had in both of those polls.
She is completely inexperienced in foreign affairs, is anti-choice which by and large turns off woman voters and the religious right vote is simply not as significant as it once appeared to be.
I think that the Palin selection also made it far more difficult for McCain to go after Obama's lack of experience without sounding like a hypocrite.
Altogether, as an Obama supporter I am pretty happy with McCain's selection at least from an electoral standpoint. She has helped us already.

Look at the questions on yahoo today. Nothing about Sarah Palin, everything about her daughter. Libs are just frustrated that her daughter isn't having an abortion.
She is a great pick and she has far more experience than Obama has and she has the executive experience that Joe Biden is lacking.

None of those things scare me about Palin.
These things scare the hell out of me about Palin:
Speaking about an oil pipeline:
"I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that."
Palin on the Iraq War:
"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

I agree that it was a good choice politically. Unfortunately, if McCain does not survive the term in which he is elected for, she will be president. It is unclear that she has enough experience to be president.

I don't know a whole lot about her but I think i like her better than McCain, that isn't saying a whole lot but i do think it was a great pick.
Here is how i know it was a good pick, Conservatives love it, liberals say how bad of a choice it was and McCain is dumb for it. Also they aren't really laughing when they talk about the pick, they are usually yelling or talking in a angry way, so that is proof to me it was a good pick.
she hopefully will be president one day (again i don't know a lot about her, so that might change).
