did your membrane sweep work for you?

Question

i had an appointment today. the doc said i'm 2cm dilated, my cervix has thinned out, my baby has dropped to 0 station, and lost my mucus plug two weeks ago. my doc also did a membrane sweep today. it was kind of painful, but i didn't feel anything afterwards. now, i'm feeling REALLY crampy, and have lost more of my mucus plug, but no bleeding. 
i was wondering if your membrane sweep worked for you? did you have the crampiness afterwards?

i cramped staright after sweep and went into labour a few hrs later with 3 of my babiesvthe fact u are dilating already is normally a good sign

yeah, i was stuck at 2cm dilated like you and had been for 3 days (having mega contractions every 3 mins and lasting a minute) so had a sweep. about 16 hours later i had my baby boy. couldn't tell you about the cramps, because like i said i was already contracting as though i was in full blown labour, but it sounds like things are stirring so i'd say within next couple of days. good luck!!!

no remember if it rather is recognizing or brown blood i could say confident as this might nicely be the plug / mucus it rather is likewise well-called a coach. The membrane sweep is there to do away with all the mucus so it facilitates your cervix to skinny and to start contractions. no remember if it rather is vivid crimson blood, or particularly some blood better than recognizing, or any soreness i could call your midwife or gp to envision.

With my last preg, i got sweeped and nothing happend i did not go into labor, But every one is diff but im now 36 weeks pregnant and im doing it again at 39 weeks.Good luck

i lost the rest of my plug, few cramps, then nothing, had another 3 days later still nothing, i went 11 days over!!
