read the ad carefully. ive seen some dealers add a disclaimer. "this price is after a 2000.00 down payment....

    another trick used by less-than-reputable dealers to make you think the price is lower than it is.

    "You pay only $4995 after a $2000 down payment" means the car is $6995.

    I have seen some local dealers do this as a means to lure customers onto the lot. Frankly, as a dealer, I can't stand the practice. It just furthers the white patent leather shoes stereotype. If you have to trick people into coming on the lot, then you must not have much else going for you or your business.

    Find a dealer that doesnt play these pricing games.
