Can a Judge impose a NO CONTACT ORDER just because he thinks the person might do something?

A Judge in the State of Nevada put a No Contact Order in place, whereas my boyfriend is not to have any contact with my children.

There has never been any offense done to my children by this man. My children are 21, 16 and the youngest a girl at 14.

Is there something unconstitutional about this?

How do I get this order set aside?

It's my jealous ex-husband that doesn't want him around my kids, because he has a criminal past.

I have also know my boyfriend before I got married to my ex-husband of over 19 years.

If he is a sex offender which is likely the only reason the judge could do it, the judge would be right. And if he is, you should have better judgment and find someone who does not pose such a threat to your children. I think the judge can only make the no contact order with the minor children becasus the one is an adult. My girlfriend is also getting divorced and her x is trying to find dirt on me but there is none to find.

Yes the judge can do this. However you need to get a lawyer and fight whatever is going on here as I dont gather much from your post. Is the ex wanting to modify the custody order? or just dont want your BF around? If he just dont want him around then go to court and fight it. Thats all you can do. But dont break the NCO by any means as it wont help your case.

    good luck.
