Is it true that Mexicans in Mexico are nothing like Mexican-Americans?
I heard Mexicans in Mexico are nicer, richer, and very respectful compared to Mexican-Americans. I also heard that it's like this because only the Poor Mexicans move to the USA.
Is this true?

There is a lot of truth to that. The Mexican people who go to the U.S. to work are usually those from poorer areas of the country where jobs are especially scarce. These areas also usually also have poorer educational systems, and the people have very little formal education. These are the people who are most desperate to work and help their families. Many are predominantly of Indian heritage...these are the people with the poorest opportunities in Mexico and the lowest level of education. These people have been held back in many ways for years and years by the gov't. Their lands have been taken away, schools are scarce and poor, and there are no social programs in place to help them. In Mexico there is a mix of people of European heritage...descendants of the wealthy landowners...many of whom are still wealthy, other people of mixed European and Indian heritage, then there are the Indian people...at the very bottom of the economic and educational ladder. I live in Mexico anf have many friends and neighbors in all of these groups. But, in the U.S., you see only those of the lowest economical group. these people are intelligent and hard working and only want to be able to support themselves and help their families.

Mexican-Americans are definitely different than Mexican in Mexico.. and it does have to do with poor Mexicans having moved to the U.S.
Also, Mexican-Americans are as the title indicates, American, they grew up in a different culture than those who live in Mexico...

yeah for the most part its true. The only reason Mexicans come to the U.S. is to look for work because they cant find any in their native land. The Mexicans that stay in Mexico stay there because they have no reason to come to the states. They are already wealthy so they find no reason to come.

true. i have family in mexico city and the neighborhood they live in is beautiful, and large houses. they even have maids. they could not believe it when i showed them the house my family lives in here in san jose, california ( 1.5 million dollar home). they said it was a dump!
they value education in the larger cities as well. most mexicans that come to the US are lower class (mostly with more indian blood than spanish blood- the lighter spanish mexicans are seen higher class). very good universities in mexico city and plenty of hi-tech jobs.
the kids are very respectible and much different than here in us- they hate hip-hop there and like indie, electro, punk music.
