Apply for a vacancy in newspapers or research through internet.

1st - decide what town you want to move to

2nd - decide what kind of work you would enjoy doing

3rd - check out the economy in that area i.e. wage versus cost of living

4th - check out the want ads for the area or surrounding areas

5th - apply for jobs and set up interviews - if the town/city is more than a day's trip away, set up several interviews over a couple of days so you will not be making unnecessary trips

6th - look into the city's demographics - what side of town is the safe side - what side of town is the working class etc. . . if you have children - where is the best school located

7th - don't make a quick decision about anything. Weigh every thing long and hard. It is expensive to move. You have to have your first and last months rent/lease and usually a deposit up front. Then you have your utilities - all of that needs to be turned on. If you've never had service in your name it will be a little difficult getting that accomplished. PLUS, they usually want connection fees etc . . .

Maybe you should consider not STARTING OVER but improving current conditions?
