they will still make the playoffs, however with zambrano out for likely over a month, its not good for their postseason.

Actually, with or without Zambrano, I think the Cubs will fall to the Brewers in the playoffs. Seriously, with CC and Sheets, the Brewers are going to be really tough to beat in any series. I also think the Cubs offense is really starting to struggle down the stretch. Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if they even fell in the opinion round.

I don't think it's serious, a week off & maybe a 6 man rotation to rest the starters to get thru the regular season.... they are going to win it all, this is the mother of all next years!

just curious, i know Brewers fan is suppose to hate Cubs & the other way around but are you at all worried about the work load CC is carrying?

Not only Zambrano, but Harden too. It will hurt some, but they will both come back, and once the bats start zinging again, they will go all the way.

the way he's been pitching recently, it can only help. But it really hurts their chances at a world series victory, which i think is out of reach anyway.

cubs have alot of talent if they go into a slump and miss the playoffs it will be because of mental errors

Its a big put down but if the offense wakes up we would still be able to win games.
