If you are an atheist why? Or why do believe that you don't believe in God?

Because once I started studying the history of religion and something about the mythologies of other cultures I realized that the religion I grew up with was just another one of the stories invented to explain the world. I realized that the stories told were just like all the others that told of how the gods would punish those who didn't obey. I realized that essentially all of Christian doctrine was invented by humans to further their own influence.

In all the studies I did I never found one speck of evidence that there was anything real behind the edifice.

I am an atheist why.

I do believe that I don`t believe in god because there is/are no god/s according to all of the evidence.

My parents didn't want us to go through any organized religion but instead wanted my sisters and I to find our own way. To my Mom's dismay that didn't exactly work cause none us have chosen to believe. For me, I don't need a religion or a belief in a God to get through life. I have gone 29 years without a God or a religion and I am fine.

LOL! I don't believe that I don't believe in God(s), I simply don't believe in one or two or more. Why? The whole theory about a supreme all-powerful being (because that's what it is after all - a theory, one of many) doesn't have any evidence to support it.

No one has presented a decent argument as to why I should believe in God.

I believe that the reason I believe that I don't believe in God is because I believe that there is lack of evidence.

Also I believe that I believe that I don't believe in God because I believe that the belief in god is illogical.

I know I don't believe in god/s, because when I ask myself, do I believe in god/s, my answer is no.:)

Because of common sense. Because of science and facts and the lack there of for the existence of "god". Because the fact that Christians are holding us back on Stem cell research, because they actually vote against research that could stop AIDS because to them its a good reason not to have premarital sex. Because of the same reasons Christians deny the existence of any other religions gods, is the same reason I deny theres and all others, because its silly right?

Here we go again. I don't believe there is no god, I know.
