are jabs suposed to hurt?

ive just had two jabs in preperation for my round the world trip and one of them really really hurts... this isnt just a achey feeling... this is a full on ''somebodys just beaten me in the arm'' feeling.. im finding it hard to lift it even

i dont know if this is a normal pain but i felt quite alot of air bubbles go in wen the nurse injected, im not sure this has anything to do with it??

any advise would be appreciated

was it Hep b? I had one, and my dad asked me if id been weight training in my left arm. Bubbles are nothing to be concerned about, just air rising to the surface, and it will probably hurt for a few days, mine did. Dont worry it will go down, it was probably that you tensed your arm during the injection. I had 2 sets, and one booster, and i tensed the first time and it killed, relaxed the 2nd time and it was fine.

They seem to vary. Most are just a little prick, but some of them leave your arm sore for a day or two.Partly I think it the skill or otherwise of the nurse.

It also depends on what they injected you with, i just had a tetanus shot and it was sore for a couple of days after. Some are painfree and others cause sorness. im not sure why though

I suggest putting a heated gel pad or a hot water bottle on there for a while to relieve the congestion.
