Poetry critique, please?
~Youth~
The light of your youth, so vibrant
That it floods the room.
To me you are surreal, almost
Ethereal in nature.
If only I dared, if only one time,
To brush the flesh of your cheek
With the back of my hand.
Would you turn away?
Would my invasion be welcomed?
The heat radiating from within
Every fiber of your being
Consumes all of my thoughts.
All of these thoughts
Are forbidden in nature
Not only by the laws of society,
But also by the stronger morals
My weakened soul does not
Possess.

~Wonder~
Stillness bathed in a sea of pale stars, liquid silence
Clarified by the twilight and rising moon;
The color of life is shaded with hesitant dark blues.
Without caution or uncertainty, the curtain of night
Drapes across the stage of the day after its final call,
Faithful and ageless as the dawn of time itself.
Unspoken are the wind's words, though a whisper
Chances a thoughtful escape here and there,
Drifting high and low, as a pillar of wonder.
Thank you kindly and thank you for taking the time to read these...I've always wondered.

I love both of these, especially Wonder. They are really heartfelt, and very smooth and flowing. You are indeed, as LoveDove...... said, born to write.
Please keep writing, don't stop if you get any bad critique, just keep going. I think the literacy world needs more poets, especially ones who write poems such as this.

I really like both of them. I can relate to them both. I especially like lines 5-8 of the first one. Good work.
