Corrections Officer Exam?

I applied to the County Sheriff's Department of Corrections in Nashville, and after reviewing my application they set up a date for me to take the written exam next month. I'm a little curious about what to expect on the test, and what types of questions they ask. Does anyone know?

It should cover basic reading and comprehension, math, morals and ethics.

many of the questions are worded to find out your decision making skills.

It will usually be multiple choice types, with some essay questions.

You may also have essay/ reports that will have you watch a video or role playing scenario and write a report on what happened

maximum bookstores, or a huge interior of reach library, will in all possibility have learn classes for civil provider tests. In my state, there became a particular instruction manual for the Corrections Officer examination. nicely worth looking into, because it covers issues you won't anticipate. working example, on our state tests, there's a element the place, early interior the attempt, you're given pictures to seem at and learn. in a while interior the examination, you're asked questions related to the photographs. that is to attempt your observational skills. issues to seem for in pictures like this are: type of inmates, type of group, clothing worn by utilising inmates, time (if there's a clock), products that are left laying around, and so on. i would not have commonplace approximately this area of the attempt if it wasn't for the learn instruction manual.

You have to be able to do simple math, like convert dollars to cigarettes, logic problems like how to take bribes from inmates that want you to perjure yourself for opposing sides, ya know just the basics.

Relax, you'll be fine as long as you're already a retarded sociopath.
