What's your definition of "light cooking"?

Cook Definition

Light cooking is when you're required to fix easy meals or snacks.

Be careful to clarify what "light cooking" means before signing anything, since one person's definition of "light" can mean you cook big meals all the time when you've thought it was just fixing breakfast and a snack mid afternoon.

My definition is "My cooking" lol

I see it as meals that don't take hours to prepare or cook. Some meals that come from a box that u add your own personal touch to. Some examples I do are pot roast or stew in the crock pot. Actually anything in the crock pot is great because you can add to it all day if you want :) If I have no time for a quick lunch I will buy healthy request chicken noodle soup put it on stove and make dumplings and put on top of soup it's super quick and know one knows it's soup from the can add a few things in the pan like bay leaves,pepper,etc. :)

do you mean as in a job description - will do light cooking? that means they will make some meals, but not things that take hours and multicourse meals. maybe hamburgar helpers or mac n cheese. burgers, hot dogs. otherwise, if you are talking about a cooking style, maybe healthy choices. bonless skinless chicken, salads, lean meats... good luck.

My definition is any cooking that doesn't cause any oily fumings, eg:

1) cook instant noodles,

2) hard boil or fry an egg,

3) reheating cooked food and etc...

I'd interpret that as cooking instant noodles, sandwiches, hard/half-boiled eggs, blanched veggies, one dish rice meal like chicken rice or yam rice that can be done in a rice cooker, microwaveable meals like TV dinners.

it meant minimal cooking. also includes instance noodles, microwavables and oven food. mostly meant food that takes u less than 5 minutes to cook.

In this case I think it's cooking that doesn't include a heavy stick-around smell like onions or something...curry, etc

simple meals for a person or two..that don't require long cooking eg. stews or curries.
