What should I do about this dream I had about a prospective midwife?
I thought the interview went well, I admired her confidence and her energy. My sister knows her well and recommends her highly. The only quibble I had was her tendency to say something, pause, then when I started to respond she'd finish her thought.
Well, that night I dreamed that she told me, "Once women were strong enough to give birth, but now they aren't. Some women can reclaim their strength, but you can't. See? Three of your teeth fell out!" And with that, she reached into my mouth and pulled the teeth out.
So, my question is how much do I pay attention to this dream? Should I look for another midwife? Does it mean something else entirely?

last night, i dreamed i had a beard and that my house was filled with bedbugs. it was so real, but when i woke up, my house was still as clean as ever, and i had not an extra hair on my face. don't put too much stock in dreams.
that being said, if you had this dream out of a sense of anxiety about her, and your confidence is damaged by the dream, then change midwives. how you feel about your midwife is extremely important, and will effect your pregnancy and birth experience.

Usually dream analysts will tell you that YOU are the best interpretor of your dreams. What do you think the dream means? How did you feel about the midwife during the dream? Often feelings towards others and certain symbols in dreams can mean something entirely different than what they appear to represent in the dream.
Teeth falling out in dreams normally means that the dreamer is feeling social pressure or is preoccupied with outward social appearance.

Yes look for another one. I think that God sometimes sends us messages and it is up to us to take heed or not. Too many times I didn't due to thinking "oh, that's just silly" and I ended up regretting it. I would definitely take that as a sign or at least your sub-conscious self telling you that you don't particularly care for her.
