It's like how George W. Bush is President (Like a King) and his wife, The First Lady Laura Bush is (Like his Queen). The President is the leader of our country, like a King is a leader of his. Royalty or Dynasty, is like how George W. Bush's father George Bush Senior was President before him (and before Clinton of course).
In the UK, there still is a King, Queen, Prince and Princess.

Leaders of an area of land called their kingdom. Long ago, they were like our president and govenment and made all the laws of the land. Today they are like caretakers - they watch out for the country and give advice to the elected leaders. Sometimes kingdoms are tiny - the size of a village and sometimes they are huge - the size of a whole country. It may be too much info for a 4 year old, but they will get it one day.

A king is a man who is in charge of a country. A queen is usually his wife; but sometimes a queen is the one who's in charge of things. Sometimes kings and queens wear crowns, sometimes they don't.
