why, why, why do republicans call Obama marxist, why do they say he has poor judgment?
please guys, lets be civil, no cursing..
How do you think we are going to bring our economy stable and pay off some of our debts without raising some form of taxes? besides Obama said he will increase taxes for people making over 250k. Printing more money is not the solution-it will only make our dollar weaker. Obama talked about withdrawing troops till he brings all our guys home (General petraeus advised Bush to do that today). Obama spoke about sending more troops to Afghanistan and focusing some of our attention on Pakistan, that is what Bush is doing today. We bash Obama for his inexperience and we turn around and praise sarah palin as the best pick ever, she hasn't been so honest on a number of things so why are we not being hard on her?? come on guys. Believe it or not I am an Independent and i really need help from a republican to understand why Obama is so bad for our country???
I do understand but my biggest fear is that our economy will collapse under another republican regime and we as a superpower will collapse (just like the soviets). I fear that a 72 yr old that publicly admits that he knows little or nothing about the economy and then turns around and picks a 2yr term governor that supports Bush's policies is not the right person for this great country. I personally think that we picked 2 wrong candidates.
Ok. so u guys want to tell me you agree with every policy your candidate makes? My original candidate was Ron Paul. I did not not like some of his policies, but i adored his Straight talk. I admire McCain for being in the senate and actually allowing his sons to go to Iraq, I admire McCain for refusing to bargain with the Vietnamese and staying longer in Vietnam. I admire some of his policies too, but I don't agree that we should spend 12billion a month on a country that has over a 79billion dollar surplus and we are in a deficit. We should invest that money in our country. Like Louisiana.

Why say he has poor judgment? Because it's the TRUTH.
Obama has ties -- longstanding ties -- with a convicted terrorist (William Ayers, of the Weathermen). Obama has ties -- longstanding ties -- with a foul-mouth minister (think about going into a church where the preacher violates one of the Ten Commandments!! That'd be my first warning to get OUT as quickly as possible!) who bad-mouths the country. Obama has ties -- longstanding ties AND monetary ties -- with a man under indictment for voter fraud.
Obama's "community organizing" amounted to VOTER FRAUD. Look up how many indictments are out for ACORN, the group Obama has close ties to, for voter fraud.
Obama is also going to raise your taxes -- he's PROMISED that. He's going to impose more taxes on gasoline (remember, he said he had NO OBJECTION to $4 a gallon gasoline earlier this year!), more payroll taxes, increase taxes on the providers (who are going to respond by moving all the jobs overseas), and even increase tax on the space in your house. He's also said that $50,000 is "rich" and he'll raise taxes on those people.
There's also his Islamic roots (which he slipped up on on ABC's "This Week" Sunday) and the fact that, in his second book, he said he'd stand with the terrorists once (as he put it) "the winds of change" turn things in their favor. He's stated point blank his way of dealing with the people who want to kill Americans is "negotiate." Ask people who were alive in Poland in 1937 how far "negotiating" with Hitler got them, or the Israelis how far "negotiating" got them with Hamas.
Obama is also not intelligent enough to be president. He thinks the country he wants to run has 58 states ("I've been to 57 of them, I have one more to go"). He thinks a machine that asthmatics use for medication is a Breathalyzer, not a Nebulizer. He has proven time and time again that he cannot put a subject, verb, and adjective together and make a coherent statement unless it is on a teleprompter in front of him.
Need more information on why Obama is so bad for our country?

Well, listen to what he says. He wants to increase the capital gains tax. When confronted with the FACT that the decreased taxes result in increased revenue to the treasury, he actually acknowledges that to be the truth but then supports his position as being "fair". Thus, he establishes that he would permit a decrease in revenue to the Federal Government in order to be fair. That is a Marxist philosophy.
Last night on O'Reilly, O'Reilly again pointed that out to him and he said that it was again fairness that is the reason for his desire to put the top end tax bracket at 39%. He then stated that he, and Bill O., "could afford it".
Morally, he is correct. However, he wants to implement a system that forces people that make over a certain amount of money to pay it to the government, in the form of taxes, and give that money to the less fortunate. I have no problem with doing so. However, I object to being forced to do it. He blew off O'Reilly's pointing out that his policy is the redistribution of wealth, however, that is exactly what it is.
Listen to Barry Messiah speak and then read the Communist Manifesto (it's not very long). He is speaking right out of the Communist Manifesto. That's why I refer to him as a Marxist.
EDIT
I dispute the contention that Bush's economic policies have been bad. They have been good, generally. Yes, unemployment hit a 5 year high but it is still generally low. The biggest problem is the price of gas and that is an unfortunate perfect storm of events. It will rectify itself. The housing crisis isn't really a crisis. The market corrected itself after the people that were getting adjustable rate mortgages for the purpose of flipping houses got caught. They were inflating the market superficially.
A President is only as good as his advisors. Thus, even though McCain doesn't have a lot of economic experience, who will he surround himself with? Additionally, what are his underlying policies vis a vis Obamessiah? These are the questions that must be asked. I find it interesting that Obamessiah has now said that he may delay rescinding the Bush tax cuts.
How do you give me a thumbs down for this answer unless you are not interested in hearing a true discussion of the issues and are blindly following a candidate?
BlueJulie--Exactly. It's neighborliness if you choose to give the waitress a little extra. It is Communism when the government forces you to give her a little extra.

Raising taxes on anyone is not the solution. If I where to overspend I would need to cut back at some point to make up the difference. I cant go to my employer and demand more money because I was a poor steward with the money they paid me. Why is it ok for government who already takes 65% of our money through city, state, federal, and hidden taxes to raise that amount?
The answer is that our government is wasting our money. Taking it without having to provide and results and then overspending. The federal government is the biggest charity in the world. Lets see results b4 you take more.
If you really want results I suggest the IRS go after government instead of the people. How many people in government would still be in office then.
As an actual independent you don't sound independent. They are all stealing from you...they all have special interests and those interests arn't America and making it stronger.

Because he is the leader of the socialist party and he has Marxist views, just read his books. And have you ever heard of economics? There is a trickle down effect that affects all. His tax plan won't just hurt those people. Increasing taxes doesn't fix governement spending (a big problem). Taxing big business and people who make a lot of money won't help the economy. They just cut jobs or raise prices and what they sell, not rocket science. This means less jobs and less spending power. This is just an overview but it's a very deep subject. People think things are bad right now but this is nothing when you look at the big picture.
Source(s): And btw I'm not a Republican either but I will tell you this, McCain is the lesser of two evils. Frankly, we need to get away from the two party system government that is basically a dictatorship. Because in the end the Republicans and Democrats are the same when you break it down to the core. Legitimate third and fourth parties would cure this mindset that these azzholes can do whatever they want without consequences. - How do you think about the answers? Do any of you actually know what Marxism is and what its main tenets are? First of all Marxism is a philosophy, not a form of government. Most important of all is that Marxism is NOT Communism. Communism is one expression of Marxist philosophy, but not the only one. Marxism, as one aspect of it, proposed a more equitable economic system based on workers, or the government owning the means of production, not a small group of super wealthy men. This, of course, flies in the face of capitalism which encourages private ownership. Naturally, the two systems would be in direct opposition to each other. The problem is that there are no controls on either system preventing abuse and greed. Socialism is an economic system where the primary means of production are held in the government's hands. The state makes all decisions regarding what is produced, how much it's sold for and who is going to work at whatever job they are assigned. Communism is a political system based on a socialist economy with a small group of powerful men making all the decisions. Or in the case of Stalin, one man primarily. Facism is basically a dictatorship in a capitalist economic system. Despite its name, National Socialism..Nazism was not in the least socialist. Communism and Facism have on thing in common. One man or a small group of people who are in absolute power. This can be termed Totalitarianism. Total control by one man or a small group. As long as there is a US Congress and Supreme Court, neither of these political systems is possible in America, despite all the rhetoric. By the way. The same accusations were made about Franklin D. Roosevelt because of Social Security and the New Deal. We survived and prospered. Neither of these forms of government is even close to our system. Our present American system is a mixture of a capitalist economy with social programs funded by taxes. For those of you who complain about your tax dollars going to some lazy so and so sitting on his butt smoking crack and watching cartoons all say, well, for your information, the % of welfare fraud is below 2%. Considering the size of the welfare bureaucracy, that is extremely low. So anything you hear about all the people abusing the system, it's just political rhetoric, aka propaganda.

Because he is pandering to those who think the rich are the root of all evil. He wants to redistribute others money to help those who are too lazy help themselves. A truth most can't handle. Cutting the size of taxes and government is the only cure. Government should only be in charge of infrastructure (and maybe not even that), human against human crimes, anti pollution policies, Public Lands, military, and watchdogging private monopolies. A true free market place will mostly regulate itself.
The pain we are feeling now was caused by all of us, what makes everyone think that government can control anything unpleasant from happening. It usually makes it worse and longer lasting.
I want a candnidate who wants to remove all the usless government departments and their spending. I want a candidate who talks about getting rid of IRS by simplifying taxation, I want a candidate who talks about making congress like jury duty, no more professional politicians. I want a candidate who wants to make all those receiving government welfare to be put to work for their money. I could go on and on.

They say those things about Obama because they have no issues to run on and can only campaign on negativity. If you have no economic policy of your own, bash the other guy's. Marxist? That is an archaic term with no relevancy in today's world. It's just Reagan worshipers trying to dredge up the past. Obama has tried to take the high road and stay positive but he has had to respond to the ever increasing negative attacks. There are three debates scheduled, watch them and you will see who is the more capable man

History shows over and over and over that cutting taxes, NOT raising taxes will increase government revenues.
The more money people have in their pockets to spend, the more they will spend, increasing the tax revenues for the government by paying the taxes on the items they purchase.
When you continue to raise taxes people sit on their money, thereby decreasing government revenues, decreasing jobs, etc... It's bad for the economy.
Think of it this way. If you owned a theatre and saw less people were coming to the movies, what would you do?
You can increase ticket prices so the people that still come pay more and make up your losses that way, but chances are the increased price will actually stop even more people from coming so you'll probably break even at best.
If, however you lower your prices, you will draw more people back to the theatre thereby increasing profit through sheer volume of tickets sold.

Obama is so bad for our country because he will only RAISE our deficit.
How do you think we are going to make our economy stable and pay off some of our debts if Obama keeps on raising our debt to fund his socialist programs/policies? Did you forget what he is for? His health care reform is going to cost us so much money that we DO NOT have.

Obama supports the basic tenet of Marxism and that is the redistribution of wealth. Take the money from the people that work their butts off making it and give it to the lazy ones who do nothing. Kinda like the ants (repubs) working all summer just to have to give all their hard earned food to the grasshoppers (dems). Does that sound fair to you? If you want to work hard and see your income given to those who wait for govt handouts, then Obama is your man.
