There is no meaning. Life is just life. There will never be proof of this since it sounds depressing but really it's neither depressing nor uplifting. Just like a spider being alive, I mean it doesn't really have a purpose unless you count 'being part of an ecosystem'.
The more religious answer is that the meaning of life is something we cannot understand as living beings and we will only learn in death. Not saying that people go to heaven per say but rather that dying puts you on a different plane of existence.

We have Life because of our freewill. We wanted to enjoy separately from God. That's why He gave us freewill. We should use this life to find our way back to Him and have real happiness that can't be felt in this material world.
