What happens if you smoke while you're wearing the patch?
The doctor gave my 16-year-old son the patch to help him stop smoking. He's been wearing it for almost a week now and has developed symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness and over all he seems worn out. I suspect he's smoking and wearing the patch, but I can't be sure. Does anyone know about nicotine poisoning?

Either he is smoking with the patch on, or the patch is too strong for him, like maybe the patch is for heavy smokers and he wasn't smoking enough.
If he continues to smoke while wearing the patch, his addiction will increase instead of decrease. But why is he trying to quit smoking at 16 anyway? Most kids are just getting into their prime smoking years at 16. How long has he been smoking?
