No, they get their salary. Usually pays a hell of a lot better than comp.......

No because they are actually still working and are getting a salary. Workmans comp is for people who are usually paid by the hour who aren't working due to injury.

They are paid by a salary so regardless of being injured or performance, they still make the same amount. NFL teams also fit the bill for any medical expenses.

No. But they are protected by whatever guaranteed part of the contract that they have signed, and for whatever money they have coming through the end of that season. Then they must pray that the owners don't think it's a career ending injury and cut them. But dont feel too sorry for them - they are making plenty of money - money that would last you or I a couple of lifetimes

Not exactly. They still get paid and all of their medical expenses are covered by the team. The specifics are in their contracts.

I think they make enough money to take some time off...lol. I think there are clauses in their contracts so that they are getting their salary regardless of whether they get to play or not.

Probably but they wouldn't because they make millions and don't need worker's compensation
