Why Did god make the universe so big when we are all here on the Earth?

Why did he make so much more rock and empty space than he did living things - surely living stuff is better all round. i thought we were supposed be his chosen ones i thought we were his favourites why then did he make a lot more rocks than he did people

What does he use the other planets for? peaceful skiing holidays? or is he two-timing us and he's already made people in his image elsewhere too?

can you hazard a guess as to the the truth behind this particular "mysterious way" of his

We are Humans and we live in Planet Earth... does that send "lights to you"? Which means there is presumably life out there, although no one as made it through to provide enough evidence. So scientists keep exploring to find life and what type of life in other planets=)

God has created us - Humans, giving us intelligence and conscience. Now is up to us - Humans to use it wisely=) even if it is to satisfy curiosity regarding life in the Universe=)

Think outside the box you were taught.

    1. have you been in space?

    2. have you seen the planets as they speak in person?

    3. have you any proof of space past what a few men tell you?

So if only a few know for sure what is up there, and the rest of us have to just believe and trust them. How can we be sure what they say is the truth? Pictures can easily be made via a computer to look like anything we want. So how can we be sure what we are told is the real truth?

After all, was not the American Military already in space and living in space stations before a man went to the moon? (if we went). Was not the stealth bomber and planes designed and flying in the late 1950's? And if they take super computers to fly them, how did they fly them in the late 50's? Well we know the CIA had a computer system in 1947 that could listen into every phone call worldwide. Heck the cell phone was patented in 1902 yet wasn't released to the population till around 1989.

So how can one trust the information one is fed?

The answer, and this is from a person who is Spinozistic and Stoical in his metaphysics, is that the Universe is full of life. I believe there is life on Mars, probably on several other bodies in the solar system, and beyond that in other solar systems. I like your question because a Universe which is otherwise empty of life would be really good evidence for atheism, or at least for the non-existence of a God of the kind in Abrahamic religions.

However, as an intellectual game, i can think of another argument for a world like this. God is bound by logic. This dictates that God can only create a Universe which is rational in nature - for instance, there can be no objects in this Universe which are cube-shaped and spherical at the same time. Leibniz said that God created the best of all possible worlds, i.e. the one with the most variety given the simplest starting conditions. It could be that a world with enormous expanses of empty space and a single planet with life on it is such a world because logic dictates this is the only way to do it. In other words, for conscious life to exist at all, this is how it has to be, although our inferior rationality does not allow us to see that clearly.

But, as i said, i'm not a conventional theist so that's just a thought experiment.

  • well assuming that there is a god, perhaps we are merely test subjects. maybe he made us to see what would happen over time. and now look what we have done to our earth, we are at a point to where it is ALMOST too late to turn back. so, going along with this theory, he has observed us from when life was young until now and saw all the destruction we have created, and at the same time all the greatness. just maybe, we are the foundation for another "earth" where there are no hardships or crime or injustice or anything of that sort. a place where all is well. but alas, this is but a theory. hope that i helped you in some way.

i don't be attentive to. God did no longer say. in step with danger He likes being inventive. yet evaluate this: in accordance to the Hebrew Mazzaroth, God had Adam, Seth and Enoch chosen 12 constellations and phone them in a single of those way as to tell the tale of the arriving Redeemer. whilst the earliest descendants of Adam appeared up into the night sky they could reassure themselves that God could sooner or later deliver them somebody who could unfastened the advent from its bondage to sin, like He had promised Eve in Genesis 3:15. This has considering the fact that been corrupted by way of the Babylonian astrologers.

Well how to you know that there is not other people or things whatever you wanna call them out there? If god made the universe so big why only put living things on one planet? And what if the other people or things out there are thinking the same thing?

I guess we will never really know.

I think that it is quite possible that if there were to be an omnipotent omnipresent "god", It would be a god that could extend to all reaches of the universe which would include having influence over everything in existence simultaneously. Such a "god" could even possibly be outside of our universe. That is IF there is an outside.

Would you prefer it if the night sky was completely Black?

How alone would you feel if it was? - i.e. No Stars, no Moon, no Planets, no Galaxies, etc...

Maybe something is telling us that we are not alone in the Universe...

We are all here on Earth, but They are all out there.

The other planets are spares that can be shifted to the optimal distance from the Sun as and when We extinguish the Planet We currently inhabit.

Considering the universe is infinite it's a bit naive to think humans are the only 'intelligent life' that inhabit it!

how do u know there's nothing out there?
