Yes you do need help. The majority of people need help. This is going to be based completely on my intuition so I apologise if this is wrong: Grown up and slowly became recluse. Covering the problem with inside activity's (games, computer, tv etc) you now feel unsatisfied and crave another desire. Brain swings to the opposite of your current desires as they are not fulfilling you and start contemplating the fact you haven't found love/relationship. New desire (whether subconscious or not) starts to dominate. You start noticing and/or caring more about your brothers jokes because of your new desire for love/relationship being intwined because family is still part of love/relationship. You decide to take action which leads you to trying out exercise and eating healthy? This is just my instinct of how your brain may be working taking into consideration the personality I see in your writing. If I am we'll off I am sorry. The reason you are feeling depressed is because your current attachments are no longer fulfilling your desire. You wish to spread your wings but are held back by your mindset. Love and relations may play a big or small role within this. Depression is not tackled by mulling over this stuff or sitting in wallow. You need to use your emotion to break out of the cycle. Use your emotion to tell yourself that you don't want to feel horrible anymore and plan to change this. The true route to happiness is inside you not outside. The outside of you (existence) is merely a bonus. You must control your mind and your body. Simple conscious effort to do so is suffice. Break your boundaries like your a soldier not toddle around them until some doctor decides you are depressed and shoves pills down you to control your happiness which all can be done with your mind anyway. Just forget the idea that the world controls your happiness. You control it. I've seen people with disease and short lives happier than some people in relatively good health and living conditions. How is this so? Happiness is within! Force yourself out to places. Even if it seems pointless. Go to a nice place and sit. Park, river, beach (depending if your close). Try and take in the beauty and not sit in your mind.

I forget what it's called, but I saw it on 30 minute meals. Make a cornbread cake..just get a mix from the store. Take it out of the oven. Make ground beef on the stove. Drain well and put on the cornbread cake. Put cheese and red peppers and olives (or whatever sounds good), then put in the oven until the cheese melts. So good!

This link is below. Go to allrecipes.com and search for ground beef. You'll get lots of recipes.

    INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

    1 pound ground beef

1 (3 ounce) package Oriental flavored ramen noodles

1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes

1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn

    DIRECTIONS

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble in the ground beef, and cook until no longer pink, stirring frequently. Drain off grease.

Stir in the flavor packet from the noodles, tomatoes, and corn (with their juices). Break up the noodles slightly, and add them to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are tender. Stir occasionally to break up any clumps of noodles.

Here's another one from www.foodnetwork.com. Again, search ground beef. The link is below.

    Mom's Meatloaf

    1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

    1 teaspoon dry mustard

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    1 pound ground beef, moistened

    1/2 onion, finely chopped

    1 egg

    2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

    1 cup bread crumbs

    1 cup ketchup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a small bowl, mix together the horseradish, mustard, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

In large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, egg, and Worcestershire sauce. Add contents of small bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the bread crumbs and combine well.

Place mixture into a 1-pound loaf pan. Pour ketchup over top and place in oven.

Bake uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes.

There's always meatloaf, meatballs, Salisbury steak which are all the same basic way to prepare the meat, only the shape changes. Then of course you can just sprinkle some of the meat into a generic spaghetti sauce to make a meat sauce or use some of the meat to add to a taco.

Try grilling something. You can make so much stuff by grilling and adding some basic seasonings. If you don't have a grill and live in an apartment, you can get an electric one that will do the job for now.

Mac and cheese is always good. Or something like that. Maybe a salad with some chicken or something simple.
