Don't you wish the McCain camp would drop this lipstick on a pig deal...?

I've supported McCain all along but his camp is starting to sound like a bunch of whinny Democrats. We can agree with positions on either side but don't become a bunch of finger pointing cry babies.

    Lol.

    Well, I'm an Obama Supporter...

And I think the Republicans are acting dumb, especially since McCain said the SAME THING to Hillary.

I think McCain should keep going.

And Obama should then step up and explain that Sarah Palin is the lipstick and McCain is the pig.

And then he should explain how Sarah Palin is a "pig in a poke" - that is, the republicans are hiding her true nature by keeping her isolated from the press, and under McCain's thumb.

Then he should conclude with Sarah Palin is being treated by her republican handlers like she is Pygmalion, successful in her own world that must be educated to pass as a natural-born high-society woman, under the tutelage of John McCain. And the impetus was a bet, a wager, just as McCain has gambled his future and reputation, and, if elected, would gamble with America's future.

Interspersed with all this, Obama should reflect on how the republicans have embraced political correctness - literally!

And THAT would silence the republicans.

I agree on the lipstick point. Its not even honest. That's my problem with it. Though I suppose you can't blame McCain for trying.

One can blame the media for framing this as an actual debate, whether its sexist or not. "What did Obama mean?". Its pretty damn clear what Obama meant.

OBAMA: Let's just list this for a second. John McCain says he's about change, too. Except -- and so I guess his whole angle is, "Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics... we're really gonna shake things up in Washington." That's not change. That's just calling some -- the same thing, something different. But you know, you can -- you know, you can put lipstick on a pig; it's still a pig.

To lead into a segment by making it sound like it's debatable.. is well, dishonest, and I think just a ratings grab.

Obama has already had his say on National TV...you know...the place where REAL people hang out and learn what's going on.....right from the "horse's mouth".

As for the McCain Camp....GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROPE....they will hang themselves soon enough.

OBAMA spent a total of 15 seconds clarifying his point and moved onto the ISSUES, like how he is going to reform education, which you should be very proud of.

Of course I'm sure half of you couldn't be bothered to make anything of yourself....let me guess...the world is going to end so WHY BOTHER?

Here...I have just the camp for you:

As for Palin...she is starting to remind me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show....we should just all dress like her (beehive and Tina Fey glasses) and just LIP SINC her speech.

I've gotten to know the routine of lies by heart now. Is that the best they can do??? One script of lie for two weeks?

Pffffffft....they were fizzing out even on TV today and they KNEW IT.

McCain has to use everything he can to upset the Superstar image that the media has given to Obama. If lipstick on a Pig will do it for a week why not use it. The issues will come out soon enough, (Sep 26th) but for now we need to be on an even footing.

It is absurd that well educated adults can listen to Obama's comment in its entirety and suggest that he was speaking about Palin, he never mentioned Palin's name once! If this is how the republicans want to win by making this into a character debate instead on their stance on real issues, then do we really want these people running the country for the next 4 years?

Especially when McCain in a speech on 10/1107 uttered the exact same thing.

It's just tiring... The McCain camp cries about every little thing. But they sure as hell were all supportive about the ad that ran comparing obama to britney and paris. Yet didn't apologize to the Hilton's who actually contributed to his campaign!

YES! but it's just that they are getting nervous because Palin has been put under the microscope, and now they need something to come back on the Dems with. Maybe stuff is surfacing on Palin that they didn't know about?

Yes, especially since McCain used it against Hillary's health Care Plan. Pot meet the kettle.
