Four years ago it was Osama video tape and now Pakistan?

Question

"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Ok from what I understand four years ago it was Osama bin laden video tapes that somewhat helped president Bush get elected the second time. I think the Republicans are playing games with Americans by making Pakistan a villain this time. They are messing with Pakistan's borders and if Pakistan respond to it (as the Republicans would love them to) then they are going to say ok we need McCain now to handle Pakistan. Anyone else agree?
