Are you eating out as much as you use to, or eating out more? ?

Eating out for some people saves time. What is your preference? Some are cutting back on eating out as much? Are you still eating out at preferred diners, or have you switched to less expensive places?

Depends on the income and time and also wife’s or husband’s cooking.

Eating out less-as are most people in Ireland and due to

    1) Smoking ban in all restaurants.

    2) High cost of eating out

    3) High police profile on drink driving and enforced lower alcohol limit

    then high cost of taxi

    4) Cost of babysitters (when applicable)

    5) Economic recession -people just don't have the cash

More and more are having friends round to the house and getting a couple of bottles of wine in

I eat out less than I used to. When I lived with my parents, we ate out all the time, maybe 3 or more times a week. Now I live with my fiance and his family, and we only eat out when it's someone's birthday...maybe 8 or 9 times a year, not including other special occasions. I would like to eat out more, but now I can't afford it, and the norm in this family is to eat out less.

I am eating out more- both for convenience (just dont feel like cooking, but we try to get something decent)

AND we are loving trying new restaurants. It used to freak me out to drop $40 for dinner for two, but now, I want appetizers, a bottle of wine, dessert...
