Catholics:What do you think about Barak Obama's view on abortion?

Religion should not be your sole basis for beliefs. In a constantly changing world it is a good idea to keep an open mind. There's nothing wrong with it (i know the arguement that its a person, but it doesnt't even have a heart beat yet so...) it should be the woman's choice. It's her body and her life. What if she was the victim of rape? Would all those anti-abortion people out there still be against it? Just wondering. Becuase I know I honestly it would be a constant reminder of what happened, if it happened to me. And I do realize that, yes, the child would be blameless.

The Born Alive Infant Protection Act is not about abortion. It's about providing medical care to living babies that have been delivered early in hope of them dying but they didn't. Allowing a living breathing person to just die without any effort to help them is beyond cruelty. How anyone could want Obama in the presidency after knowing about this is beyond my understanding.

OMG that was disturbing!! that man erks me!! i couldnt stand him before but geez thats sick! i will not be voting for him!!!!! that is just awful!!! any mom who could do that deserves to die the most horrible death thinkable....i have strong opinions on abortion, i feel that abortion is murder, period, but that is not even abortion to me, that is just plain 1st degree murder! how can they get away with that!

for brianna up there, actually, a baby has a heartbeat at 5 weeks!! most ppl dont even know they are pregnant at 5 weeks so get an education! and if someone is raped and can deliver the baby w/out any risks to the mom there is a thing called adoption!! brainless ppl like you are the ppl who will vote brainless ppl like obama into office.

I think there's no easy answer for the issue of abortion. It's so circumstantial. I believe in leaving it up to the individual to decide. Of course, this would mean trusting that people are responsible. Which I know many are not.

Do I think that loose cheerleaders should use it as a form of contraception? No. But rape and incest? When the mother's life is at risk? Very circumstantial.

I think that people really take Obama's pro-choice stance and use it to make him look as if he eats babies for breakfast. I interpret it more as a laissez-faire sort of thing.

I also think there are bigger issues in this election than the constitutional rights of embryos.

in his position, there is no easy way to answer it. he wants votes, so he will say what he "needs" to say to get votes.

that's why i'm not voting for him and i hope he loses.
