The power is hanging in there. Thanks everyone. We're on pretty high ground so we were not and will never be in an evacuation area, but if we lose power for a long period we will have no choice.

You must be in one of the "shelter in place" parts - my sister is too. You are all in my prayers and I hope the best.
Including that the election - at least - will result in our government doing it's job this time.

We didnt evacuate because school and work wasn't canceled until today.
So we didn't have time...

Since he loves Texas (he's not from Texas) I'm sure he'll take care of you. My husband has a mother & sister there, but they're north of Dallas.
