Do you really "trust" Obama?

I feel he is too slick. Too much pretending and not enough reality.

Never, NEVER in our long History, haa this country ever had a Presidential candidate, who's "patriotism" and sole dedication to our customs and traditions, been under QUESTION. And that number is in the MILLIONS. Never has there been a candidate, who so flagrantly and with such contempt, ignored or disrespected our Flag, our national anthem and insulted us for feeling "patriotic".

If the U.S. is bound for its decline into a 3rd world power, or part of some One World Order, Obama will be the one to do it. A Democratic controlled Congress means Obama gets his way. With 2 Justices due to retire next year, he is clear to put in 2 of the farthest left appointments this country has ever seen. The he's free to start chipping away at our Rights. Let's hope were NOT meant for the History books just yet.

I am an Independent. I vote for people no matter what the party, so party loyalty is not a hang-up for me.

I don't trust Obama in the least little bit. He has manipulated the truth in pretty much every issue of this campaign at one time or another and in his background. I also wonder where (and who) all of his campaign money is coming from and why he lied about campaign spending or financing.

He has been campaigning for 1 1/2 years. Started 143 days into his elected job as a Senator. Shouldn't we know him pretty well by now? Why are there still so many unsettled questions?

I didn't like the slip he made in the interview last week where he said his "Muslim" Faith. A Slip of the tongue? How tired do you have to be to not remember which faith you subscribe to? I don't so much care if he is a Muslim. I do care that he has lied about it. Why? He is who he is. How devout could he be to deny his faith?

I won't vote for him. He just has to many shady areas to suit me.

When I first saw him give a speech, I thought, wow, that guy is slick. But he seemed highly intelligent too, and I was intrigued. He was saying all the right things about what was wrong with our government and what our nation needed to be doing to move on into the 21st century. So I did a lot of research. I found his 2004 DNC Keynote speech on line and read it; it was very impressive. I read his book DREAMS FROM MY FATHER, and felt that I had a better understanding of him. Finding out that he was half white and half black seemed like a sign that he was a man for all people for the new century.

I read THE AUDACITY OF HOPE and understood that he has a fine grasp of history and the machinations of government. I am also convinced that he is really concerned for the future of our nation and our standing and influence on a global scale. I've never heard anything like it from any other politician.

We have a big choice to make. I choose not to have more of the same, because that's all McCain is. He has sat in Congress for 26 years and has been right there with Bush most of the time. He's never made a name for himself in all those years. I'm willing to take my chances with Obama.

No way . This guy says were going to keep it clean. And then he slings mud like crazy ! He has very little experience doing anything . Yet he attacks a Governor of two years who has done more as a small town Mayor then he has sitting in the Senate. The guy by his own admission has been campaigning for 19 months of his four year term . In touch with the common man LOL ! Harvard and Princeton lawyers ? Won`t produce his birth certificate ! Etc etc . Went to the same church for 20 years . The Preacher counseled him. He was on all the committees. But he missed all the I hate America speeches ????????

No. Hes no more than an enduring symbol of complete lies and utter lunacy politics, in-concert with having a big mouth that opens without the brain having first considered the long term effects of what he portends.

Yes I do trust him. And I trust Biden. I also trust McCain, but I disagree with his policies, I absolutely do not trust Palin. In her first national speech, she lied about her record in ways that are easily checked! http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122090791901411709... "Record Contradicts Palin's 'Bridge' Claims." What kind of person would do that?

Are you kidding? He has never once been involved in anything that comes off a "slick" or "shady." If anything I look at him and his family and think "you know, for once they look like the real thing." I think especially during the famous preacher guy's (his name escapes me now) sitdown with Obama and McCain- Obama was just amazing. I thought he handled himself so well. He is much more trustworthy in my opinion than McCain and crazy Palin. I don't trust her at ALL.

This is a hard question, I really do not trust anyone in this world anymore, but, my own family. I do, however, trust him a lot more than Mccain. Everything he has done so far has been so shady...Now he's talking change, copycat, picked Palin, and I KNOW he really did not want to, he just wants to win, so he's trying to appeal to women, and the Hillary voters. He is constantly bashing Obama, while Obama is being way too nice, he needs to tear into Mccain, now. The time to be nice is over, they are not being nice to him. IDK, Obama seems to be a truthful, loving, family man.....Obama\Biden 08'

Does this have anything to do with his ethnicity because i don't understand why. When you talk about being "slick" and pretending, it sounds like code words. What about George Bust and John Mccain. Would you use those words to describe them. It's you I'm having trouble trusting.

I trust he will have a better running government than McCain's.

I don't trust a woman who'd force her daughter to marry someone she does not love. A woman who is against abortion even if rape or incest is involved. A woman who trophy hunts. A woman who wants the polar bears off the endangered list. A woman who wanted wolf's shot by the air. Anyone who ever supported against these things in good conscious votes for McCain/Palin is a hypocrite.
