Do you know of a case where there is a nurse vs. doctor conflict and the nurse is on the winning side?
it can be any case, better if its a legal case where it was brought to court.. for example, a nurse sues a doctor or surgeon for some reason, like for example a surgeon unjustly treats a nurse during an operation and even causes harm or verbal abuse of some form.. and then the nurse files a complaint of some form or better yet sues the doctor..
I just need a sample case for our report.. since i'm a nursing student, we also need to be aware of these such cases, since my own classmate herself experienced such abuse by a surgeon during her exposure to the operating room..

i dont know of any specific cases, but i'm a nursing student too and we both know that surgeons can be total d*cks on a bad day. there are even some surgeons stuck in their ways and wont use certain ng tubes even tho others have been proven to be more efficient.
i know of older more expierenced nurses who stand up to doctors and tell them when they need something for their patient and tell the doctor to write up the order, which is really impressive .
good luck with your research, and tell your classmate that docs have bad days like everyone else and not to let it get to her/him.. and remind everyone in the hospital they are a STUDENT and are there to LEARN... they obviously wouldnt be in school if the knew everything already.

Well I'm only 14 and my health teacher (whose been a nurse for 20 years or so) told me that usually doctors are REALLY stressed and will swear and verbally abuse people all the time. And she was just too scared to stand up to him and just did her job. Hope that helps?
