I put it on my googley eyed horse's. They reported back to me that it's obnoxious. Most of the poor putz find a way to snake their way out of them, then hide in the corner and pout.

Not obnoxious at all. I have Snuggy Jams (http://www.snuggyhoods.com/uk/jams.html ) for my Anglo Arab. He has a thin coat and thin skin, and unlike my other ponies (all hairies - a Highland, a Shetland, a small herd of Welshies and a gypsy pony) he does need something to keep him warm at night. He wears his jammies under his stable rug during the worst of the winter (about from Christmas to the middle of March) and it keeps him happy. My stepdaughter's pony came with PJs, but I really don't think she's going to need them!

I think PJ's are bad and obnoxious and make horses look silly like this one: http://www.ironhorseblankets.com/about.php

My horse has long legs and we can never find them long enough so he looks silly when they only come up to his fetlocks..and he is kinda clutzy so that also frightens me..so I'll just keep him in his night shirt sans the bottoms...as he always seems to wet them too. I haven't seen them with the self open slit and when he has to go, he has to go. I think he likes having the "functioning" parts open and ready to go at a moments notice.

will i have never had one on my horse but i think there is no reason to have one unless your horse needs one. and your horse would need one if his blanket rubs or something but if the blanket what rubbing i would just get a new blanket. i think that are a wast of money

Honestly....I think they are silly. A horse was designed to be naked. and people that dress up to hide makes no sense.

**edit...I mean people that dress their horses up to hide what comes naturally to the horse world. Scrapes and abrasions happen...so does poop stains. That's why I like NFQHA...

Horses aren't supposed to wear pajamas.

Only horse blankets....pajamas for horses is just rude.

  • I consider them ridiculous & totally without merit.

I also think that using PJs & trying to cover up the many many inadaquacies will not help. Call it what you want, OOGLEY is OOGLEY by whatever name.

I hear they prefer nighties and a decent dressing gown.
