Why do women ALWAYS become insecure about the silliest things?
Like, someone says they're full figured and also happen to have a happy appetite, and automatically women everywhere say things like "Oh geesh, stop being stereotypical about what women eat and what they weigh." Or my favorite one, "Oh my gosh! You're making fun of skinny women! AH!"
I mean...dude...what's wrong with saying that you're fullfigured and have a healthy appetite? Where does that translate into "Everyone not my size it UGLY AND UNDISIRABLE!!!" *rolls eyes*
I AM a fullfigured attractive women, and I know why us women can get some insecure. I'm just wondering why girls/young ladies twist what people say into what they THINK they said. (Other than our common obstinance of coarse.)
All answers welcome. Please don't freak out and say that I'm being an ***hole or anything...I'm curious.
Thanks. :)
Note: I am sorry if this offends anyone. It is not my intention to point fingers or critisize-I know that we were ALL made differently. That's a beautiful thing. I'm just seeing what people say about this. Thanks to everyone who's answered thus far; you've got some intelligent answers. :)

girls mostly feel that way due to the media and society. Culture sometimes also makes them feel inferior. When you are less than someone you tend to look up to what they say and take it seriously. Something obviously that should not be done. Im dying for fulfigured and skinny to be phased out- no longer used terms. Im waiting for the wonderful day in which a girl size 14 and a girl size 0 can walk in the same fashion line. I cant wait for a girl who just sohappens to have curves being called fat. So that that girl can say: i like my body no matter what you think.

It is quite normal for people to interpret things to mean what they usually mean. If you want your statement to be taken in a different way, then you'll have to present it differently, my dear. Since you see how it is normally taken, think about beginning it differently. You might preface it by saying something like, "Now don't take this the wrong way..." Or you might point out, as you do in your 3rd paragraph, "Now, I am a full-figured, attractive woman, and I don't want you take this the wrong way..." Or add something to the end, "Oh, what a healthy appetite you have, AND ISN'T THAT NICE TO SEE FOR A CHANGE, INSTEAD OF EVERYONE ALWAYS DIETING!" Or words to that effect. Our society already predisposes everyone to be hypersensitive about weight issues, as you are aware. So if you want to bring up these issues and not have people "freak out," as you say, you must throw in some additional remarks. Still, don't be surprised if some people are not able to overcome the social stigma. It is not an easy thing to do. Many people are far too insecure, especially if they have struggled with it for years, or suffered from personal attacks before you make your little remark. If you don't know people personally, it is probably better to talk about something safer to begin with. For example, someone who has a history of anorexia or bulimia is going to be much too sensitive to take any remark lightly.

Because they are young. It takes awhile (I'm 45 now and have been ok for about 15 years) to learn that no one is perfect, and I am beautiful as I am..
So, because the young girls like you they assume that you are speaking their language. Which is downgrading themselves and others.
It's not right it just is

It's simply not true that women ALWAYS become insecure about the silliest things.
If you haven't noticed the hatred spewed at women who aren't skeletal, I wonder where you've been living your whole life. It ain't planet Earth!

Some women just have security issues. Full figured women tend to think they are fat, and skinny women...well, they tend to be bitchy.
