Ok to have the baby shower 8 weeks before due date?

Sounds like a great time bc like you said if you wait longer you will be getting into the holidays where it will be harder for you to find time for all your loved ones to come. Plus whatever you dont get a the baby shower you will need a little time to get before baby gets here. Sounds great!

I am due on January 5th, and my shower is November 2nd. I prefer to have it earlier than usual so I have time to get things that I still need after and put everything together, especially while I still have energy. Also, the holidays are crazy around here! We start going in three different directions at the same time around the third week of November and things don't calm down until after the New Year. If the weekend of November 8th works for you two then go for it!

You are allowed to have a shower whenever someone is willing to throw it for you.

My first one will be when I’m about 22 weeks. That gets it in before the holidays. After the holidays, I’ll be too far along to feel comfortable being 250 miles from home. So the only option within my hosts’ and my schedules was this early date.

I think it is better then waiting too long. I know a couple people that were in the hospital for there's, or there baby was in the hospital because it was a preemie. I had mine at 32 weeks and I felt great. Right now I am at 36 weeks and I don't think I would have the energy to open all those presents again! You should also do it early because of Christmas. People are always so busy during that time! Good luck.

Definitely! Especially like you said, that is a busy time of year for everyone with all the family parties and holidays. I had my baby shower 6 weeks before I was due and no one thought anything of it.

i'm going to be 29 weeks the following day, and that i'm having mine (nicely my mom and cousin are placing it on) a week from this coming sunday. We desperate at the same time that it grow to be a solid time, because of the fact as quickly as december hits, you're working into christmas, and giving human beings something else to speculate in isn't consistently truthful. and that i'm due Feb 3 so in January that's getting close, and that i pronounced i could not be feeling as much because it or soft to have a baby bathe or do something that a techniques alongside! lol. that's my first so God basically knows how i'm going to sense. yet 6 weeks in the previous you're due is effective!!

my first shower was 8 weeks before my due date, the next was the following weekend and the last was at 5 weeks til my due date. there's nothing wrong with a shower 8 weeks before. good luck!

Sure, why not! I don't think that's too early and with the holidays I can see why you'd want to do it early. I'm in the same situation. Whatever works best for your and your friends is what you should do. Have a great time!

yes, thats perfectly fine. This will give you plenty of time to get organized and ready for the baby. I had my baby shower about 2 months early, it was a good idea.
