Am I the only one that think that this election is sexist?

I'm not a voter but I think that this election is quite sexist. I have never imagined that it's so hard to be a woman in politics in America before coming here. I think U.S. is more a male dominated country than a lot of other countries, including the third world countries.

the only party that is sexist is the one who discounts the woman vp runningmate becasue she is a woman. You can see the issues that by the issues they raise against her: too many children, how did she pay for her college education, reference to her looks etc etc. It is the same party that is racist evidenced by nominating and voting for a candidate sinply because he is black and encouraging the thought that a vote for his opponent is racist.

It is sexist to think that a woman should get into a position more because she is a woman and not because she is a ~qualified~ woman. Frankly I think that does qualified women a disservice. I find it embarassing to women that a woman who had a tanning bed installed in the governor's mansion is running for VP. Does she tan in between official meetings? Would she do that in the White House?

Does that seem professional to you?

And if you criticize her people think you must be envious of her looks. Well, I'm an ex model who actually WON a beauty contest. It is SEXIST to dismiss the complaints of other women on that basis.

It's hard to be a candidate for high office, regardless of gender or race.

There are many female Senators, Representatives, Governors, Mayors, etc in the US.

The presidential race has become a slime pit of racism and sexism simply because many people are too lazy or indifferent to look at facts and issues. It's unfortunate that voters opinions are swayed by advertisements and blogs, rather than actual facts.

    But that's America.
