What would you like to see as a wedding favor?
my friend is considering starting a wedding and party favor company. So many things have been overdone. What do you think would be fresh & new?

Just thinking off the top of my head. Take these ideas or leave them, just some suggestions.
How about mini cakes with different toppers. (the cakes can be real if that the kind of business you are in or they can be plastic). Toppers could have different themes. For example: Sea shells, two hearts, movie reels, two swans, etc. Maybe the cakes can open up and you could have candies inside?
What about specially shaped chocolates?
I did a project years ago in school where we took empty baby food jars and glued a square piece of fabric onto the lid. You could put candies inside the jars. The fabric can be solid or with different wedding print. You could also tie ribbons around the base of the lid.
How about music CDs with love songs on them? The label could be really cute, with a few doves on the front and an empty "scroll" that the bride could write a special note to her guests.
Custom printed pens?
Photo brag books?
Packets of seeds for the guests to plant?
Charms for necklaces?
Maybe you can take your own spin off of some of these ideas. I wish you and your friend good luck with the new business venture!

HI THERE!!! :) Thanks for asking me...:) I guess it ALL depends on the crowd...I personally collect Antique collectables-some Jweleries, Plates-trinkets etc...If you have an "eclectic" group-that might be a nice little gift or so to pop on the table...you can REALLY find ALOT of great ideas on Ebay believe it or not!!! Also- they have an EXTENSIVE amount of items you can buy in bulk-very nice too-from Sterling Rings for about $1 a piece-to little Perfume samplers-you name it!!! People also like "handmade items" it shows you put thought into it-and it is not just a "cookie-cutter" item...Thats why I LOVE giving Antique or Vintage items as gifts-people are REALLY surprised-and "YOU KNOW" it is not something they "have" already! :)
* Also* Gift certificates for Godiva.com or some other "exotic" place would be a lot of fun as well. AND if you are on a budget-you really NEED to check out all the bargains on Ebay...I simply LOVE that place! :) * Another idea...Movie cerftifcates...that would be alot of fun also-and you can get some nice ones that are a package deal-that are very reasonable. I hope that helps a little!!! ;)
If I can think of some more ideas...Ill give a holler!!! :) Let me know!
Have a GREAT DAY..and CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WEDDING!!! :)

I think some of the best favours are ones that you can actually USE afterwards! Or ones that have a double purpose!
Like what about little photo frames that are also used to tell people where to sit? Or fans or parasols for outdoor weddings? I've also seen people have flowers placed in a vase as a centre piece and then have each person take a flower home.
Key chains, bottle openers, there are unlimited ideas!!!
