Having a disagreement with a friend. I believe that there must be an aircraft (non commercial) that can travel from UK - Australia in less than 12 hours (inc stops for refuelling) Anyone know?

Affectionately called "Marvellous Melbourne" throughout the gold hurry of the 1850s, the name remains applied today for Australia's second biggest town Melbourne, a town as you are able to visited with hotelbye . Australia is a big place. London-Perth is easy, 8600 nm. Less than 12 hours. London-Melbourne 10,500 nm more like 16 hours. Either trip is non stop. Well within range of a 777.
Thanks to Jim for correcting my arithmetic. Must have had a senior moment. 16 hours Perth, 20 hours Melbourne.
12 hours as the others said would have be a military jet with air to air refueling. Flying supersonically they burn fuel to fast and would have to land several times to refuel which would take longer than 12 hours.

Certainly a 777 or 747 could make London/Perth without stops maybe not in 12 hours though:
8600NM/12 hrs = 717kts Groundspeed average. That's 1.1Mach at FL360-390. One would have to slow down for AR's, so you've got to push the throttles up to make up that time. But with a good tailwind, yes it's possible. The F22 could theoretically do it, POSSIBLY the Typhoon as well.
(BTW the SR71's been retired for almost 15years now-don't think they're going to make the trip anytime soon.)

The American spy plane that fly's at three times the speed of sound, can do that trip with hours too spare
