What do I get my wife?

something personal that shows her you really thought about it. if she has any hobbies or interests, you can start there. like if she loves to cook, maybe cooking lessons. a massage or day of beauty at a spa is always great too. a personal poem that expresses how you feel about her. type it, print it and have it framed or frame it yourself. she would cherish that forever. even if you are not talented in that area, find one off the internet, tweek it to match her or personize it and voila! the best present she ever got.

give her a day of pampering at the spa.

Plan a get away at a romantic b&b for the two of you. She will love getting away with you one on one.

Prearrange for the host at the b&b to have flowers in the room and a bottle of champagne on ice when you arrive.

Take her to a nice restaurant that will allow dancing. Dance of a couple slow dances with her holding her so close she will think that the two of you have fused together. When she thinks the evening is done, give her the spa certificate.

The next morning after breakfast, go for a little joy ride or sight seeing trip - stopping at places you know she would like to stop at.

It will be a wonderful and different adventure for her that she will never forget.

How about a flowerring plant rather than flowers. She can plant it outside later. Or, maybe a lovely shrub or tree as a remembrance of a special year birthday. I know I would love something like that.

Or, how about a gift certificate to a neat Bed and Breakfast in a tourist area near to you. They are so special and it would be a nice get-away. Also, there are lots of new perfumes out in special bottles. Saw one that had a butterfly as a stopper. It would be fun for you to try the different scents and get one you like and think she will appreciate too.

Why not one of those gift certificates for a day spa. They seem to be really popular right now. With the economy really down you might even get a great deal at a local luxury hotel or resort. Its getting into off season for lodging and you can land packages cheap. She would be able to get away from the kids if you have any. Let her invite a girlfriend too. If your into it book a romantic weekend getaway. Play golf or watch football while your wifes at the spa.

A favorite movie on DVD, or a movie you two may have seen when you were first dating.

don't buy her anything. cook her dinner, do her chores, clean the house. Odds are these are things she is ususally responsible for. I'll take a clean bathroom over chocolate anyday, especially if I'm not the one cleaning it.

Then give her the best xxxxxxx ever. Sounds like the perfect birthday to me....

Well, what does she like? Does she read Cosmo? A year long subscription to that is cheaper and comes right to the house! Has she mentioned that she wants to go somewhere and you just haven't yet? We could help you, but we don't know her like you do.

What about a short stay at a health farm where she can be pampered for a couple of days.
