What is the deadly wound mentioned in Rev 13:3 that is to be healed?
I believe the first beast is a one world system . The heads of this system consist of politics, religion, educatio and economics. I believe the second beast is satan and the anti-Christ meaning he is the instead of one. satan can appear as an angel of light. satan appears as Christ to come to heal the deadly wound. I believe that the deadly wound will be to the world economics and satan will decieve the world into thinking he is the Messiah and heal that wound IF you worship him.

rhanjo,
You and I seem to agree on what this deadly wound is. If you take all prophecy scripture and put them together it makes perfect sense.
Too many Christians take Revelation all literal. It's not. Most of it is symbolic, but when you read the other books of prophecy concerning the last days (which is the last days of the current world system) You can begin to understand Revelation. Again, I totally agree with you on what the head wound means and that this Antichrist will heal the wound (All the World's issues).
Very interesting question and topic.
Too bad, that many make fun of this, and do not take it seriously or more importantly believe that we are living in perilous times.

When one discovers, as in many things, the Bible reflects, or describes ACTUAL events in history, maybe it s a clue to pay attention?
In Revelation 13 it is describing a beast with a wounded head blaspheming God and Jesus rebukes the blasphemy, but the actual words of the blasphemy are not stated.
However, by looking at Jesus Rebuke one may discern the blasphemy- Jesus Rebuke is: REV 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear:
REV 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
So, the blasphemy should have been: If someone misleads you, you are not responsible: he that kills with a weapon must NOT be opposed by men with weapons, even if the saints in Heaven want it so.
Can anyone think of a person with a healed head wound, made with a weapon, that opposes weapon ownership?
I can.

The deadly wound is to the political system,as you've said,it rises up out of the sea of people. It is made up of the Kenites(leopard),socialism or Russia(bear),and Lion(false religion or false lion-speaks like Judah but isn't.
Rev.17:9-11 explains Rev.13:1-3...
Rev 17:9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
The 7 heads are nations or continents.Five kings have fallen,Babylon,MedoPersia,Greece,Rome,Mohammedan. Two are left, the Kenite system(6th) and satan(the 7th & 8th).The Kenite system or political "peace, peace" system recieves the deadly wound but satan is also wounded by the "bruisers".Satan is finally crushed by Christ after the millennium.
Before the deadly wound we have the action of the 4 winds. This is in Dan.7 when the winds strove upon the sea.
Dan 7:2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
Dan 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
Dan 7:4 The first [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
Dan 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and [it had] three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
Dan 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and it had ten horns.
Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
These winds get the action going and bring on the end.The winds are also the 4 horses in Zechariah 6.Rev.6 will give you the events leading to the deadly wound and the anti-christ.But note that the seals are not in order.Pay attention to the color of the horses in the seals, they match the horses in Zechariah.
The deadly wound will be because of the North & South(Russia & the mid East). We should always pay attention as to what goes on in Jerusalem.(This was done by a sister but not myself)

During the world war of 1914-18, Great Britain, as the seventh world power, received a “sword-stroke” that could have been fatal. But the United States of America came to her rescue. Since then, America and Britain have cooperated as a dual world power, which John goes on to describe as a wild beast with two horns, coming out of an established human society, “the earth.” This two-horned beast takes the lead in making an image to the first wild beast and breathing life into it, portraying how the Anglo-American World Power became chief sponsor and life-giver both to the League of Nations and to its successor, the United Nations

13 And it stood still upon the sand of the sea.
And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, but upon its heads blasphemous names. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were as those of a bear, and its mouth was as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to [the beast] its power and its throne and great authority.
3 And I saw one of its heads as though slaughtered to death, but its death-stroke got healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration. 4 And they worshiped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshiped the wild beast with the words: “Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?” 5 And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given it, and authority to act forty-two months was given it. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his residence, even those residing in heaven. 7 And there was granted it to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them, and authority was given it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 8 And all those who dwell on the earth will worship it; the name of not one of them stands written in the scroll of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered, from the founding of the world.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 If anyone [is meant] for captivity, he goes away into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is where it means the endurance and faith of the holy ones.
11 And I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking as a dragon. 12 And it exercises all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first wild beast, whose death-stroke got healed. 13 And it performs great signs, so that it should even make fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind.
14 And it misleads those who dwell on the earth, because of the signs that were granted it to perform in the sight of the wild beast, while it tells those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the wild beast that had the sword-stroke and yet revived. 15 And there was granted it to give breath to the image of the wild beast, so that the image of the wild beast should both speak and cause to be killed all those who would not in any way worship the image of the wild beast.
16 And it puts under compulsion all persons, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they should give these a mark in their right hand or upon their forehead, 17 and that nobody might be able to buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name. 18 Here is where wisdom comes in: Let the one that has intelligence calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
Please read the rest. It explains it to you. And we are living in the last days as Rev states. People will soon find out, just how far in the last days we truly are.
Rev 21:3,4. I love that scripture that goes along with all the rest of them. Such wonderful news, and warning to those who truly love and worship Jehovah God, and adores Jesus as we should. Nothing gets to Jehovah unless through His son.
Have a great day!

I have a NIV Bible that explains each verse, and it says, that the beast is described as the deification of secular authority, or the final, personal anti-Christ, and the wound that is healed emphasizes the recuperative power of the beast, meaning that it will have great power over the nation.

I'm assuming you are referring to the "Anti-Christ", as the previous verse mentions the "Dragon", or Satan giving him a seat of great power and authority.
12: And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
13: And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
I've read many people thinking it will be an assassination attempt which "he" heals himself of.

The Antichrist suffers a deadly wound and then is healed. Then he is indwelled by satan himself and all the world follows after him.

It would have meant something to the people who read it way back then, but that meaning is lost to us (and the story doesn't apply to us either).
