Beautiful. Cobblestone streets, Market Square, Coffee Cafe, Umbrellas, Tables and chairs. You have described exactly a lovely place in a big city I often visit. You only forgot the candle shops. Bet we've sit across from the table sipping coffee and chatting about the beautiful scenery then wondered why we still left as strangers.

Yes, there should be more cobblestone streets, coffee shops, florists, farmers markets, where people make eye contact and aren't afraid to shake hands in greeting, or to laugh out loud, or whistle while they work. Thanks for bringing back good days.

The metaphor is the poem itself. Nostalgia for a simpler life. A nice read.

  • I absolutely love cobblestone streets.

They should all have quaint buildings lining them

I see them so rarely, thanks for the view.

simple and complex memories of another era stirred by your verse

a fondly remembered picture is well painted within these lines of yours, though they have spilled over the lines within my brain
