Does Rogue from the X-Men (comics NOT movie) have red, brown or auburn hair?
I am referring more to her 80s green and yellow jumpsuit look but I still would like to know how they generally color her hair in the COMICS.
Please dont tell me anything about the movie thats not what I'm talking about. Just her hair color ASIDE from the obvious white.
I read a lot of X-men comics too, but in the early 90s, hence why I was curious of what her hair most OFTEN is now. I know it changes.

Marvel.com says that here hair is brown with a white streak. I'm pretty sure that the reddish hue that she always has in her hair isn't part of her actual hair color its just there to add some layering and what not so that it doesn't look so plain. If you look at most characters with black hair around the same time that her hair was reddish brown, they often had blue streaks/patches/highlights (or some other color in some cases) even though their hair isn't supposed to be blue at all.
In her most recent appearances Rogue's hair has lost the reddish hue and is just brown. I found a recent cover from X-Men #204 which shows that Rogue's hair color is almost identical to Gambit's which has always been brown as far as I can remember:

If you read enough X-Men comic books you will see that Rouge's hair changes depending on who is doing the artwork and which continuity you are in.
The green yellow jumpsuit is from the early nineties Uncanny X-Men and as was typical of the printing process of the time, its hard to tell what color her hair is supposed to be except that its not purple/green/blonde/black/blue. Thats just a limitation of the printing process.
In the end it really does not matter. Details in comic books are liquid and subject to the interpretations of the current writer and artist.
Maybe you could check the Marvel Encylopedia and see what it has to say?

Her hair color as characterized by the artist is typically auburn in color or basically a redish brown. as like in most Youth renditions of characters her hair was lighter and all the Youth images of her have her with red hair the signature white streak did actually come about after sucking the power from magneto something They did get right in the movie just happened a little differently.

Reddish brown, (is that auburn? I don't know) with a white streak in front, of course.

I'm pretty sure she's a brunette, but I could be wrong.
