LAX to Warner Brothers Studios (Burbank)?
I have tickets for the Ellen Degeneres show in October. I have made a reservation for a rental car, but I am just curious if there is any public transportation from LAX airport to Burbank (close enough to walk to WB Studios)? If the only public transportation is a cab, any idea how much that would cost? If not, is the drive pretty easy? I'm from Chicago so I'm used to driving in crazy traffic....but it's different when you know where you are going!!!!

Public transportation can be used, BUT it takes 2-4 hours (depending on routing) and involves several trains& buses.
Taxi fare would be prohibitive, the distance is too far.
Just drive if you are reserving a rental car. It' almost all easy freeway driving. From LAX go north on I-405 14 miles, take US101 east 5 miles then Ca134 east 3 miles. Exit Bob Hope Dr./Buena Vista Dr., turn right on Bob Hope Dr., then right on Riverside Dr. to 3400 Riverside Drive. (You'll be roughly across the freeway from the L.A.Zoo.) It should take about 40 minutes.

If you are not familiar with LA you might not want to rent a car. When you arrive at LAX and have your luggage, go outside to the Orange overhead sign. That is the shuttles. Super Shuttle and Primetime Shuttle. The Dispatchers are right there to help you. They will take you from LAX directly to NBC on Alameda in Burbank. If after the show you are staying overnight if you get a hotel close to LAX, you can call the shuttle to pick you up and take you back to the airport and then to your hotel. Need other info? Let me know. I work at LAX. kingsleydr60@yahoo.com

That show is out of production, so the sets have probably been dismantled. I don't know which sets may be open for viewing at this time. Perhaps a visit to the Warner Brothers website is in order.

too bad your flight doesn't land at Burbank airport
then it would be one bus to the Warner brothers studio
at hollywood/Riverside drive
lacking that you have couple of choices
you could take the Flyway bus to Union station then take metrolink to Burbank then line 96 which will take to Riverside drive
now if you want to avoid Metrolink you could take the Red Line (subway)
to Hollywood and Vine then transfer to the Line 222 this bus will
take to hollywood way and Riverside
if you want to avoid train altogether
from lax city bus center you can first board s line 439 take this bus to
West LA transit center then transfer to either metro rapid 780 or 217
take either bus to Hollywood/Vine then as above (the 222 routing)

I know that you can take a Shuttle from LAX to Van-Nuys and then Burbank its not so far away.
