What is R&P's opinion on classical music?
My piano teacher is making me listen to classical music. It's not even exciting classical music, just a huge piano solo.
But I do like listening to the soundtracks by Danny Elfman and John Williams.
I agree, Mozart is pretty boring.
ron, I wouldn't be able to answer your question since I've been playing clarinet and piano since I was little and classical was the first music I ever listened to.

I love classical music. I suppose you have to find composers and pieces that you like cause there is some that is pretty boring. Stravinsky, Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven are my favorites. I like movie scores too, particularly those by Howard Shore, Ennio Morricone, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.

I personally like classical music, I find it soothing and inspiring.
My favorite classical composer is Beethoven, I also enjoy film scores by Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, and Clint Mansell.

Classical can be some of the most beautiufl, stirring and life inspiring music. I particularly like piano pieces. Like all types of music, it appeals to some and not others. If it gives you joy then you need no further reason to listen. Enjoy!

I like lots of classical music but it doesn't appeal to me all the time. The best of it comes from a different time period, and so it takes a different mind set to enjoy. The modern stuff can be quite difficult to listen to because it takes music theory in a very different direction and starts to explore dissonance in a systematic way.

I have listened to it but i've never been able to get into it. I have all the respect in the world for it though because if it wasn't for classical, there would be no metal or other good music today.

I love it. Mahler, Chopin, Poulenc, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Sibelius, Franck, Barber, Bartok, Orff, Saint-Saens, Rodrigo, Tavener, Mendelssohn, Lauridsen, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Szymanowski, Spohr, etc...
I really enjoy the romantic era.

I don't listen to it really, at all, but I have so much respect for it.
If I happen to hear classical music though, I end up enjoying it very much.
I would like to know more classical music, and maybe start listening to it.

I love Pachabel's compositions.
Classical Music is great. It's the root of todays great music (when I say today I mean the era as a whole, not the great musical depression that started in the late 90's)

I absolutely adore it. My favorite composers are Marcel Dupré and Dmitri Shostakovich. Elfman and Williams are brilliant as well. I find Mozart, Handel, and the like, to be quite boring though.
